Steve Ovett

Stephen Michael James “Steve “ Ovett is best known as a great Olympic athlete, a former middle distance runne; he holds the UK record of 2 miles which he gained in Moscow. Ovett had a partner at his peak, Sebastian Coe; they shared lots of gold medals representing the UK, but they didn't compete together. What most  people don’t know is that Ovett gave up a career in football because he didn't want to do a sport where he should rely on teammates. Since 1992 he worked as a television commentator for the CBC. The statue of Steve Ovett is erected in Preston Park, Brighton. He is now settled in Australia at the age of 58. In 1983 he returned to action, but he wasn't selected for the 800 meters at the world championship because his season was full of injuries. To conclude, my favorite male sport personality is the great Usain Bolt.
